Our first two stops in Ecuador combined a traditional market town in the Andean mountains and a small village in the cloud forest. We got to enjoy some fun activities in both places, including visiting a bird of prey rescue centre, taking part in a chocolate-making tour and doing a free-fall Tarzan swing! We also had to start getting used to the nationwide blackouts that last several hours each day, which will probably continue throughout our time in Ecuador.
