Uruguay’s capital Montevideo had some interesting sights, although our favourite place was definitely the museum where we got to listen to the testimonies of the survivors of the famous plane crash in the Andes in 1972, which was really impactful. We also did a day trip to the beach resort down of Punta del Este where we found Uruguay’s most well-known sight, the Hand in the Sand.
